Last
weekend saw the penultimate round of the 2023 Ferrari Challenge UK and what a
weekend for Team Graypaul Nottingham!
On
Saturday an impressive qualifying performance saw Graypaul Nottingham drivers
Carl Cavers and John Dhillon qualify in pole and third respectively.
The
race certainly didn’t disappoint with a phenomenal drive from Carl Cavers,
Andrew Morrow managed to take the lead at turn one and what ensued was a close
battle. Cavers stayed hot on Morrow’s tail for the entirety of the race until half
way through the final lap saw a superb move from Carl take the lead and bring
home his first win of the season.
John Dhillon battled up to third in race one but in doing
so received damage to the front aero and track rod end, to the amazement of the
race engineer a superb drive by Dhillon saw him finish the race and grab some valuable
points.
Sunday
started with glorious sunshine and qualifying saw Cavers take Pole Position
once again. A flawless start to the race
saw Cavers draw out comfortable six second lead that was put into jeopardy when
the safety car was deployed due to debris on the track. After a close restart
with Morrow staying with Cavers some flawless driving saw Cavers get the
chequered flag once again.
Graypaul Nottingham clients enjoyed fine hospitality in
the Silverstone Wing whilst cheering on our fantastic drivers. Clients also had
the opportunity to try their hand at some circuit driving and took their own
prancing horses on to the iconic British circuit. A parade lap also took place at lunchtime,
inviting all of the Ferrarista onto track, which saw the most wonderful
spectacle of prancing horses from the Ferrari Enzo to the Daytona SP3.
