26–27 July 2025 – Donington Park

Donington Park played host to an exhilarating weekend of motorsport as the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli UK series returned to the iconic circuit for Round 4 of the 2025 season. With championship glory looming, the stakes were high—and the action did not disappoint.

A favourite among drivers and fans alike, Donington’s flowing curves and historic character offered the perfect setting for two unforgettable days of Ferrari passion, precision and performance.

In Trofeo Pirelli, Gilbert Yates (Charles Hurst) was once again the driver to beat. From a lightning-fast qualifying time of 1:04.764 on Saturday to a commanding victory in Race 1, Yates showed why he leads the championship. Sunday saw more of the same, with another flawless performance from the reigning champion to claim his seventh win of the season.

Meanwhile, Pranav Vangala (HR Owen) pushed hard throughout both races, keeping the pressure on Yates and securing back-to-back second-place finishes. Further down the grid, the likes of Calum Leathem, John Marcar, and Paul Simmerson delivered thrilling battles and dramatic overtakes—culminating in a spectacular final-lap move from Simmerson in Race 1 to reclaim third place at Craner Curves.

In Coppa Shell, it was a masterclass from Mike Dewhirst (Dick Lovett Swindon). The championship leader was untouchable, securing pole position and both race wins with commanding leads. Behind him, Peter Hunter (Stratstone Manchester) impressed with a superb recovery drive on Saturday to finish second, and a strong follow-up performance on Sunday. Darren Howell (JCT600 Leeds) and Steve Dopson (Dick Lovett Swindon) also enjoyed podium success over the weekend.

A Celebration of Ferrari Passion

Beyond the racing, the Club Challenge programme brought another dimension to the event—offering Ferrari clients the opportunity to drive their own cars on the iconic Donington track in a structured, non-competitive format. With technical coaching and exhilarating circuit time, it perfectly embodied Ferrari’s commitment to creating unforgettable moments for every level of enthusiast.

From the paddock atmosphere to the roars from Redgate and Hollywood corners, the weekend was a true celebration of Ferrari spirit and sporting excellence.
